An L-shaped walk-in closet that features his and her rooms. The first section was designed to be a more formal space since it’s visible from the master suite. Horizontal handle cutouts are used for pullouts, while vertical handles designate cabinets used for hanging clothes and shelves.
As you turn the corner and walk into her part of the closet, the space becomes less formal, allowing some clothes to be hung and others to be stowed in drawers. This area was designed to be modular. We used the Rakks hardware, a system that allows the space to be customized as the user’s needs change. If, for example, the client wanted more drawers, those could be added anywhere between the support poles.
